Women's Basketball Closes Out Season On The Road

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern Women's Basketball continued on the road with a final contest against McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. The Pirates were held to nine points scored in the third period while Warhawks scored twenty-five. Pirates fall to the Warhawks 55-81. Southwestern closes out the 2024-2025 season with an overall record of 7-18 and a conference record of 4-12.

 

GAME HIGHLIGHTS 

  • Sophomore Adrianna McCoy led the Pirates with twelve points

  • Freshman Lizzy Kellam added another start to her stat line while also collecting nine points of her own shooting 50% from the field

  • Senior Ellie Ward picked up eight rebounds a game high for the Pirates. Ward also scored ten points and had four assists to help the Pirates offensively

GAME NOTES

  • Southwestern went 27% from the field, 5-25 from three, and were 12/16 from the free throw line

  • Trinity Benitez added two more blocks to her career stats

  • Freshman point guard Emma Flores collected two steals
