Box Score GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern University Men's Basketball team opened conference play against the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs on Thursday Night in Seguin, Texas. The Pirates found themselves down 32-36 at half, following a period where they shot 52% from the field. Although the Pirates went 56.5% (37.5% from three) in the second half, the Bulldogs were able to double their first half lead, eventually winning 63-75.Â
HIGHLIGHTS
- Freshman forward Jared Robbins put up his third game in a row in double digit scoring, putting up thirteen points.Â
- Luke Mills grabbed six rebounds and added eight points to his stat line against the Bulldogs.Â
- Gio Gutierrez also put up eight points, assisting his teammates twice and stealing one ball.Â

- Twelve different Pirates scored against Texas Lutheran on Thursday night, with thirty-one points coming off the bench.
- Southwestern was 54% from the field for the game, however just 26% from the three and 50% from the free throw line.Â
- The Pirates turned the ball over twenty-three times compared to TLU's thirteen. The Bulldogs scored twenty points off turnovers.Â
