GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Pirates for Pirates Challenge, Southwestern University Athletics annual fundraiser to support the athletic department's teams and programs, kicked off this week for twenty-four hours of giving from noon on October 1st to noon on October 2nd. The department set a goal to reach 1,000 donors regardless of contribution size. 

Southwestern Athletics is excited to share that with the Pirate Faithful's generosity, it exceeded its donor goal with 1,240 donors. The department also set a record for dollars raised, with Pirate Nation giving a total of $342,765.

Pirate Athletics would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude for the incredible support during the Pirates for Pirates Challenge! Your generosity and commitment to our athletes have made a significant impact. Thanks to your contributions, we are able to provide our students with the resources they need to excel both on and off the field, pitch, pool, and court. Every donation, no matter the size, plays a crucial role in helping us achieve our goals and foster a thriving athletic community.
