Men's Lacrosse Ties School Record in 30-2 Win Over Dallas

Box Score

GEORGETOWN, Texas — Southwestern men's lacrosse matched a school record for most goals scored in a game with a 30-2 win over the University of Dallas Crusaders.

Jacob Hamilton and Nick Doxey scored six goals each to lead a potent Southwestern offense that generated 73 shots and produced 13 different goal scorers. Zac Asbury directed much of the offense, scoring three goals and assisting on a game-high four assists.

Jack Doloszycki, Tyler Johnson, and Tommy Saueressig scored two goals each, Ryan Sambogna, Matt Minnick, Matt Caldwell, Conor Beckett, Benjamin Libby, and Tyler Santos each scored a goal.

Hudson Bearden had a monster game, scoring three goals and dominating on face-offs, breaking his own school record with 36 face-off wins on 36 attempts. He also shattered his school record with 28 ground balls. Bearden entered the game 10th in the nation in ground balls per game (10.67) and ninth in face-off winning percentage (0.771).

His 36 face-offs won, and 28 ground balls are the most in a single game by any player in NCAA Division III men's lacrosse.

Southwestern was successful in pressuring Dallas on their own half of the field, limiting the Crusaders to only 14 clears on 33 opportunities. The Pirates were 27-for-30 on clears. Southwestern also held a 78-22 advantage in ground balls.

With the win, Southwestern improves to 6-4, dropping Dallas to 0-3. Men's Lacrosse will host Dallas on Sunday, April 18, at 1:00 p.m. to end the regular season.
