Andres graduated from Georgetown HS in 2013. While there, he earned District Newcomer of the Year and District Honorable Mention in 2011. In 2012 he was Team MVP. That same year and 2013 he was named First Team All-District. In 2013 hea was also named Team Offensive Player of the Year and was All-State Honorable Mention.

Andres is the son of Aniceto and Herminia Carreno and has one sister, Amy Carreno. He is double-majoring in business and kinesiology at Southwestern.
