Biography

2013

Resnik appeared in 22 games this season. He scored nine goals including the first goal of the season in a 1-0 victory over Puget Sound and the game winning goal in overtime against Colorado College in the SCAC Semifinal. Resnik recorded one assist and led the Pirates with 19 points and five game winning goals. He had a season high three points against the University of Dallas on October 13th, scoring one goal and assisting on another in SU’s 4-1 win. Resnik was a Second Team All-West Region pick, First Team All-SCAC and was named to the SCAC All-Tournament Team. He also earned a spot on the SCAC Academic Honor Roll and was named to the SCAC All-Sportsmanship Team. 

2012

An All-SCAC First-Team midfielder, Resnik played in every game for the Pirates and finished with a team-high eight assists. His 11 points were fifth most for Southwestern in 2012 as he added two goals. He helped lead the Pirates the SCAC Tournament finals before falling to rival Trinity. Resnik also earned a spot on the SCAC All-Tournament at midfield. 

 

2011 (Sophomore)

Resnik played in 16 games for Southwestern. He logged one goal and two assists for a total of four points. His 14 shots ranked him sixth on the team and his 8 shots on goal ranked him fifth.

2010 (First-year)

Resnik made a splash in his first season with the Pirates, scoring the fourth most points (9) on the team this season. He scored three goals, one game winner, and assisted on three others, taking 15 shots, six on goal, for a .400 shots on goal average. Resnik was member of the SCAC Fall 2010 Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll and was selected as Newcomer-of-the-Year by his teammates. 

High School

Steven, a 2010 graduate of Anderson High School, earned varsity letters in both soccer and cross country for the Trojans.  Steven was named to the Academic All-District team three times, was named first team All-District in 2009, District Forward of the Year in 2010, and was a 2 year captain. 

Personal

Steven is the son of Rick and Diana and has one sibling, Lyndsey.  Steven is majoring in physics with a business minor at SU.
