2014

Gibbs had a strong first season with the Pirates, making 34appearances and 28 starts. She was second on the team with a 5.37ERA, allowing 82 earned runs on 172 hits while walking 54 andstriking out 34 in 137.1 innings. Gibbs had two no-hitters thisseason, the first no-hitters in SU softball history, accomplishingthe feat on March 23^rd against Centenary and repeatingthe effort against Austin College on April 13^th. Gibbswas an Honorable Mention All-SCAC selection, member of the SCACAcademic Honor Roll and NFCA Academic All-American.

High School

Nicole graduated as salutatorian from Concordia Lutheran HS in2013. While there, she was named Academic All-State and First TeamAll-District in 2011, 2012, and 2013. In 2012 she was named to theAll-State First Team, and in 2013 she was Second TeamAll-State.

Personal

Nicole is the daughter of Dana and Kira Gibbs; she has twosisters, Rachel and Lisa, and one brother Richard. Nicole ismajoring in animal behavior at Southwestern.
