O’Connor started all 45 games she played in this season and led the Pirates in batting average (.421). She recorded 51 hits in 121 at bats with seven doubles, one triple and 23 RBIs. O’Connor recorded a team high 249 put outs and 30 assists while committing just two errors for a .993 fielding percentage. O’Connor had her best game on February 16th against Schreiner, going 3-4 with three RBIs and one run scored. She was an NFCA Third Team All-Region pick, First Team All-SCAC catcher and earned a spot on the SCAC Academic Honor Roll.
2012 (Junior)
O'Connor appeared in 41 games for the Pirates behind the plate. She had the teams fifth highest batting average with a .321, recording 34 hits in 106 at-bats. She recorded 4 doubles, 12 RBI's, scored 17 runs, and stole five bases. She was second on the team with 229 putouts.
2011 (Sophomore)
O'Connor started 37 of the 40 games she appeared in this season behind the plate for the Pirates. She recorded 22 hits in 90 at bats for a .244 batting average, scoring 20 times and driving in 13 runs. O'Connor drew a team high 12 walks on the year, posting three doubles, one triple and two homeruns.
2010 (First-year)
Appeared in all 46 games for the Pirates and started in 45 contests...finished with a .125 batting average...had a .968 fielding percentage on the year...led the team in runners caught stealing with 13.
High School
Abigail, a 2009 graduate of James Madison High School in San Antonio, TX, was a four year varsity player for the Mavericks softball team. She was a 1st team All-District player and was named the MVP of the Mavericks softball team.
Personal
Abigail is the daughter of Pete and Ana and has one sister, Crystal. Abigail is a biology major with a minor in anthropology at SU.
