Ornelas was an Academic All-State pick in 2008, a First TeamAll-District 25-5A pick (2007-2008), the Anderson HS MVP in 2006and 2008, was the District 25-5A Defensive Player of the Year inher senior season (2008) and was selected as the Anderson HS FemaleAthlete of the Year in 2008 for the Trojans in Austin, TX. Laura also played for the Lonestar Soccer Club.
