KERRVILLE, Texas – The Southwestern University Women's Cross Country team finished third out of nine teams in its second meet of the season Saturday morning, as six Pirate runners finished in the top-25 at the Mountaineer Hill Country Invitational 6K, hosted by Schreiner University.
 
Southwestern totaled 69 points to finish third, while St. Thomas (TX) placed second with 55 points and Texas A&M International won the meet with 23 points.
 
Addison Jackson recorded a top-10 finish as she came in seventh place after clocking a 25:05. Emma Adams crossed the finish line in 11^th place after registering a 26:46. Isabel Lima (15^th) found herself in the top-15 as she ran a 26:70.
 
Luca Bella Francis (20^th, 27:08) and Sarah Rothe (21^st, 27:33) crossed the finish line back-to-back while Abigayle Stubby-Kern finished two spots back in 23^rd with a 27:44. Lucy Wallace (24^th) finished just inside the top-25 after running a 29:77. Lily Russell (38^th, 29:77) rounded out SU's lineup.
