GEORGETOWN, Texas. – The Southwestern University Women's Cross Country team finished seventh out of 13 teams Saturday morning at the Southwestern Showdown on the Southwestern campus. The Pirates totaled 235 points in the 6K race and finished ahead of Nelson University.

Midwestern State University won the event, followed by Rice University in second. Southwestern had two runners finish within the top 50 out of the 120 runner field.

Sophomore
Addison Jackson led Southwestern, placing 42nd with a time of 25:52.27. Sophomore
Emma Adams followed in 46th at 26:14.97, while freshman
Isabel Lima finished 52nd in 26:41.71.

Senior
Abigayle Stubby-Kern crossed the finish line 58th in 27:01.60, followed by freshman
Lucy Wallace in 65th at 27:56.33. Senior
Sarah Rothe placed 70th with a time of 28:08.82, and junior
Sylvia Baldwin finished 75th in 28:24.80. Sophomore
Lily Russell rounded out the Pirates' eight runners in 86th at 29:35.17.
