WLAX Falters Against Rhodes On Senior Day

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Lacrosse came up short against a top SAA Rhodes College squad on Saturday, 22-1. The Pirates celebrated the careers of seniors Katie Pratt, Susette Mireles, Kati Rzasnicki, Grace Van Dinter, and Elaina Seeley who have given so much to the program. 

The Lynx jumped out strong with ten goals in the first quarter. Rhodes continued to control the pace in the second quarter, taking a 16-0 advantage into halftime. Freshman Peyton Shindler scored in the third initially, before the goal was waved off. 

Seeley scored the Pirates goal in the third quarter in her final home game. However, the dynamic Lynx attack was dialed in on Saturday, scoring 22 times for the victory. Sophomore Hannah Colvin totaled 15 saves on the day with a team-high four ground balls. Colvin now sits at 152 saves this season. Mireles created two Lynx turnovers on senior day with two ground balls. Van Dinter picked up a team-high three draw controls. 

UP NEXT
Southwestern is off next weekend before heading to Georgia the following weekend. The Pirates will battle Oglethorpe University on April 24 at 2 p.m. Next, they will visit Berry College on April 26 at 11 a.m. central.
