GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Men's Track & Field junior Lukas Nowlin was named SAA Field Athlete of the Week. The junior garners his second SAA Field AOTW honor in 2026, but first in the outdoor season as the Pirates have accumulated five honors in only three weeks of outdoor season. 

Nowlin recorded an insane Long Jump distance of 7.24 meters, which currently ranks first in the nation. In fact, the mark is 0.16 meters further than the second best DIII mark in the nation as he continues to prove he's one of the best athletes in the Division. 

The Baytown native looks to reach the NCAA III Championships for both Indoor and Outdoor this season. Two weeks ago, Nowlin placed fifth nationally in the High Jump at the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships.
