GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Men's Lacrosse senior
Matthew Houtz was named SAA Offensive Player of the Week following three games where the senior scored nine times.
Houtz had one of the best games in program history against The College of Wooster last Tuesday, nearly willing the Pirates to a victory. The senior's previous career-high was four goals before the game. Houtz scored an unheard of four goals in under two minutes in an unbelievable run as the Pirates faithful went crazy.
Houtz continued his streak of scoring at least one goal in all eight appearances in 2026 with a goal against both UMass Boston and Centre College. The Georgetown native also surpassed his 100th career point as one of the Pirates all-time most lethal scorers.
The Pirates are back in town this Friday, taking on Sewanee at 6:30 p.m.
