Southwestern matched up with the Beacons for the first time in program history. UMass jumped on the Pirates in the first half with 11 unanswered goals heading into halftime. Sophomore
Hannah Colvin tallied seven first quarter saves, but couldn't corral the Beacons in the second quarter.
Freshman
Nia Trevillion executed on the free-position shot for the first goal of the second half. Trevillion now has six goals in her freshman season for the Pirates. The Beacons scored the next two goals before Martin found the net for the Pirates second goal right before the third quarter. The San Antonio native scored again to open the fourth quarter for her team-leading 19th goal of the season. Her 19 goals ties her 2025 mark.
However, the Pirates were unable to manufacture the scoring power to overcome the Beacons in the non-conference loss.
