GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Track and Field garnered eight qualifications for the USTFCCCA All-Region honors, while the Men's squad added four more honors.
The top-8 individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-8 relay teams. The regions used for this award – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West – match those used during the cross country season.
The Distance Medley Relay squad of freshman
Addison Jackson, sophomore
Triniti Gray, freshman
Secilia Salzmann-Ledesma, and senior
Breanna Steele were named a top-8 region relay team. Three individuals captured four All-Region events including sophomore
Jaycee Green (Shot Put and Weight Throw), junior
Ella Lewis (Triple Jump), and senior
Katelin Pilarski (60 Meter).
The Men's squad also had three individuals snatch four All-Region slots. The honorees were junior
Lukas Nowlin (Long Jump & High Jump), freshman
Jalen White, and junior
Sergio Cobos. 12 honorees is quite the accomplishment for the Pirates, recently establishing an indoor program.
