GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern University women's basketball fell to Millsaps College on Friday night, dropping a tightly contested Southern Athletic Association matchup by a final score of 75–68. With the loss, Southwestern moves to 12–9 overall and 3–7 in SAA play.
The Majors opened the game with a narrow 19–17 edge after the first quarter, but the Pirates answered in the second, outscoring Millsaps 18–16 to head into halftime trailing by just two, 35–33. The back-and-forth battle continued in the third, with Millsaps regaining momentum behind an 18–16 advantage to take a 53–49 lead into the final frame. Despite Southwestern's push down the stretch, Millsaps closed the game with a 22-point fourth quarter to secure the win.
