Enakpene Buries Game-Winning Three In Gutsy Comeback Victory, 91-90

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern Men's Basketball erased a 12-point second half deficit to beat Oglethorpe University on Sunday afternoon, 91-90. Senior Shobby Enakpene capped off the comeback with a game-winning three to win their first SAA game. The Pirates move to 7-7 overall and 1-2 in the SAA.

Southwestern faced a 12-point deficit with nine minutes to play, along with a five point hole with only 25 seconds to play. The Petrels missed two pivotal free throws before Enakpene knocked down a step back three-pointer with only three seconds left to capture the one-point victory. The senior guard was terrific with 23 points helping Southwestern total a season high of 91 points, marking the most since 2023.

Both sophomore Aedan Lewis and junior Zach Gomez finished with career-high scoring nights. Lewis was a menace near the rim with 26 points and seven rebounds. Gomez elevated his game down the stretch once again with 19 points on five threes and zero turnovers.
