Pirates Claim Victory Over Centre College In Three Sets

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS -  The Southwestern Volleyball team put together a strong all-around performance to earn a three-set sweep over the Centre College Colonels on Sunday morning. The Pirates controlled the match from start to finish, taking the opening frame 25-22 before building momentum in a 25-19 second-set win. The Pirates closed the door in the third with their most decisive set of the day, a 25-18 victory that sealed the sweep. With the win, the Pirates continue to build confidence as they move deeper into the season.

Head Coach Don Flora on the win "When you see a team focus and commit to a key skill and there are quality results, those are meaningful moments for a group. That was evident today with 11 stuff blocks in a three-set win. We also held a well-coached, quality team to a .108 hitting percentage, which shows how well we defended behind the block. Offensively, having balance in attempts and kills shows that we can trust anyone when we are in good rhythm."
