GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Golf traveled to Whitney, Texas where they competed in their final Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships Tournament. The conference tournament consisted of three days of 18-hole rounds at White Bluff Resort - New Course, on April 13th-15th. The Pirates finished in solo second place out of nine teams with scores of 334, 345, & 342 for a combined total of (+157) 1021.
The Pirates were led by junior Sloane Panter who fired rounds of 83, 78, & 83 (+28) where she finished in T4th place and was named All-SCAC First Team. Following her in 6th place was junior Rachel Harris who shot rounds of 75, 89, & 85 (+33), where she was named All-SCAC Second Team. Next in T12th place was junior Isabella Valenzuela who finished with rounds of 85, 88, & 91 (+48), after her was sophomore Sydney Jackson who shot 91, 93, & 83 (+51) putting her in 17th place, Jackson was named All-SCAC Honorable Mention for the tournament. Finishing in 28th place and rounding out the Pirates tournament five was sophomore Mackenzie Brown with rounds of 93, 90, & 95 (+62).
As a team the Pirates had a total of ninety seven pars and sixteen birdies, Harris led the Pirates in birdies with seven. Panter led the field in par 4's playing them at 4.50 (+15) for the tournament. Harris was the team leader in par 5's finishing the tournament at 5.08 (+1). Jackson led the team in pars with a total of twenty four.
