Coach Bill Bowman Secures His 100th Career-Win

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern Men's Lacrosse team faced off against the Kalamazoo College Hornets in Georgetown, Texas on March 26th. The Hornets put up a good fight in the first half, scoring four goals to the Pirates six. But coming out of halftime the Southwestern offense took over scoring four goals in each the 3rd and 4th quarter. The Hornets fought back scoring five goals of their own but would ultimately fall short, resulting in a 14-9 win and another home field victory for the Pirates. That 14-9 win against Kalamazoo secured Coach Bill Bowman's 100th career-win!

GAME HIGHLIGHTS 

  • Senior attackman Cade McDonald scored four goals and added two assists to his stat sheet 
  • Jackson Strauser also scored four goals and tallied one assist in the contest
  • Sophomore defenseman Dyson Kwan caused two turnovers and picked up three ground balls 

GAME NOTES 

  • The Pirates dominated the face offs winning seventeen of the twenty-five faceoffs
  • The Pirates were penalized seven times but gave up zero man down goals
  • Goalie Dante Avicolli racked up twelve saves throughout the game

  • The Pirates will travel to Sewanee, Tennessee to play a conference game against University of the South (Sewanee) on Friday March 28th at 7:00pm.
