GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern Women's Lacrosse team took on the Berry College Vikings on Saturday March 8th in Georgetown, Texas on Varsity Field. The Pirates got off to a slow start scoring zero goals in the first half while the Vikings scored ten. Southwestern would go on to score four in the second half but unfortunately it wouldn't be enough to beat the Vikings. Berry College would go on to win with a final score of 16-4. 

HIGHLIGHTS 

• London Flowers scored one goal and caused a team high of two turnovers 

• Junior Cecilia Cantu put four shots on goal, scoring one, and collected five draw controls in the match up

• Grace Van Dinter also added a goal to her stat sheet while picking up a team high three ground balls 

GAME NOTES 

• Southwestern goalie Emma Bethke saw twenty-two shots on goal and made a total of six saves

• Both teams recorded twelve ground balls in the contest 

• Berry out shot the Pirates, taking twenty-seven shots compared to the Pirates seventeen
