GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern Women's Lacrosse team traveled to Conway, Arkansas to take on future SAA rivals Hendrix College Warriors on Sunday February 23rd. The Pirates fought hard against the Warriors, but unfortunately the Warriors came out on top defeating the Pirates 15-4. Pirates move to a overall record of 1-1 as they look to bounce back on March 8th. 
 

HIGHLIGHTS 

• Junior Cecilia Cantu led the Pirates with two goals, which were both scored in the second period 
• London Flowers added another goal to her career stats averaging 83% in shots on goal while collecting five ground balls and causing two turnovers
• Sydney Martin help the Pirates defensively causing a game high of three turnovers

NOTES 

• Goalkeeper Emma Bethke tallied up fifteen saves during the game
• Warriors led in the shots margin, out shooting the Pirates 37-21
