GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern Women's Lacrosse (0-0) starts off their season strong with a dominant win over Illinois Institute of Technology (0-1) on Saturday afternoon. The Pirates led from start to finish in the contest. Taking a 9-2 lead at halftime. Pirates went on to score eleven more goals in the last two periods to dominate the Scarlet Hawks and wrap up their season opener with a 20-2 victory. 

GAME HIGHLIGHTS 

• Cecilia Cantu led the Pirates in scoring on the day with eight goals on ten shots. Cantu also tallied five assists in the contest. 
• Grace Van Dinter put up a hat trick, notching three goals and one assist. 
•  Susette Mireles led the Pirates defense with two caused turnovers and three ground balls . 

NOTES 

• London Flowers scored three goals against the Scarlet Hawks with one caused turnover. 
• Ana Vines matched Flowers with three goals. 
• Emma Bethke stopped six shots and only allowed two goals in the consent
