GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern University Softball team played a single contest against the Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders. The Pirates scored three runs in the fourth inning to go up two against the Crusaders. Mary Hardin-Baylor had a seven run fourth inning to take the lead, which helped the Crusaders take the win in Belton with a final score of 3-10. 

HIGHLIGHTS

• Riley Glenn-Millhouse tripled to left field to score Jodi Glenn-Millhouse

• Tauryn Alexander went 2-2 which resulted in a double and an RBI, bringing in Riley Glenn-Millhouse

• Senior Meghan McCarthy hit a sacrifice fly to allow Emery Bell to score another run for the Pirates

NOTES

• The Pirate pitchers walked three batters, and struck out two batters when facing a total of twenty-seven at bats

• Madison Vela assisted on three outs from the mound 

• Pirate hitters combined for six hits in twenty-six at bats against the Crusaders
