GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Tennis competed in two more conference matches this weekend, going up against the Austin College 'Roos and the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs on Saturday. The Pirates continued to dominate in SCAC action, sweeping the 'Roos 7-0 and going on to defeat the Bulldogs 6-0 later in the day to advance to 3-0 on the young season.
In the 10:00 AM match against Austin College, the number one singles team of
Erika Synoski and
Lydia Lee swept their opponents 6-0 while the teams of
Daryl Locke and
Kimberly Duncan as well as
Helaina Reynoso and
Valeria Gracia defeated their competitors 6-1 and 6-2, respectively. It was more of the same for the Pirates in singles play, Synoski and Locke both took victories by 6-1, 6-0 and 6-2, 6-2 margins, respectively and Duncan was the sole Pirate player to sweep her opponent in the third singles spot. Gracia and Reynoso claimed wins both by 6-0, 6-1 score lines and in the final sixth spot,
Alexa Nunez over came her opponent 6-2, 6-1.Â
After a break Southwestern went out and handled their match against TLU, who fielded five total players. Reynoso and Gracia again won their doubles match, 6-2, this time in the one spot.

Lilly Perkins battled out their victory in the two doubles slot, 6-4. In singles,
Adrianna Kozakiewicz went 6-0, 6-0 against her competitor in number five singles while Nunez and Perkins both won 6-1, 6-1 and 6-2, 6-3 at the second and third spot, respectively. To round out the five singles matches, Lee and Duncan both captured their matches with scores of 6-1, 6-3 and 6-2, 6-0.Â

- Southwestern will hit the road for their first out-of-conference matches this season, traveling to Tennessee to take on #25 Grinnell College in Nashville on Saturday and the #18Â ranked Sewanee Tigers on Sunday. Those times are set for 8:00 AMÂ and 1:00 PM.
