Chase Lanham were named to the national D3football.com Third Team All-Region among teams in Region III.Â
NCAA Division III realigned Division III football into six regions in 2021. Region 3 includes the American Southwest Conference, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, the Southern Athletic Association, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and the USA South Athletic Conference.
Sophomore linebacker,
Caleb Harmon, collects his second straight Third Team All-Region nod. The sophomore ranked fourth in the conference in tackles with 73 on the season totaling a massive 148 tackles in two season as a Pirate. Harmon excelled in the backfield with 9.5 tackles for loss for 38 yards and three sacks. The sophomore added four pass deflections and one forced fumble in ten games.Â
Freshman punter,
Chase Lanham, was arguable considered a snub for a first team nod as he led the entire NCAA Division III field in average distance per punt at 47.6 yards. The freshman was dominant at changing field with six touch backs, five fair catches, and six punts inside the 20 yard line. Lanham recorded 17 punts over 50 yards this season with the most memorable coming against University of Puget Sound for a booming 74-yard punt.Â
Junior wide receiver,
Graydon Thompson, earns the much deserved honor for his first time. The junior showed the ability to completely take over games, recording two program records. Thompson's incredible season included 983 receiving yards and ten touchdowns, which both marked program records in a single-season. The highlight was Thompson scoring three touchdowns in both games against Texas Lutheran University and Millsaps College.Â
