GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern University women's basketball team dropped its second game of the season on Saturday afternoon, falling 75–49 to Hardin-Simmons University inside the Robertson Center. With the loss, the Pirates move to 4–2 overall and 1–1 at home on the year.
Despite a strong effort on both ends, the Pirates were unable to keep pace with a sharp-shooting Hardin-Simmons squad. The Pirates continued to compete aggressively in the paint—finishing with 28 points inside—but Hardin-Simmons' offensive efficiency proved too much to overcome down the stretch.
