GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern women's basketball stormed out of halftime and never looked back, exploding for 41 second-half points while locking down defensively to defeat Hendrix College 67–51 on Sunday night. The victory pushes the Pirates to a strong 3–0 start to the 2024–25 campaign.
Southwestern trailed 39–26 at the break but flipped the game completely in the final 20 minutes, outscoring the Warriors 21–6 in the third quarter and 20–6 in the fourth. The Pirates' pressure defense and dominance on the glass fueled the comeback, as they racked up 23 second-chance points, 26 points off turnovers, and 32 points in the paint. Despite Hendrix leading for most of the first half, the Pirates seized control with the game's only lead change early in the third quarter and never relinquished it.

Freshman Neela Castillo led the charge with 21 points, knocking down three triples while adding seven rebounds and four steals.
