GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern University Volleyball team kept its strong conference momentum rolling Saturday afternoon, sweeping Rhodes College in straight sets (25-20, 25-14, 25-12) in Memphis, Tennessee. The win pushes the Pirates to 19-5 overall and 11-2 in Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play.
Head Coach Don Flora praised his team's growth and execution on both sides of the ball, noting that the Pirates' balanced offensive approach was a difference-maker in the sweep. "We were impressive in our commitment to good attacking decisions today, and that was a key piece in our development," Flora said. "Our offensive balance was evident — Kendall and Lily made quality decisions in their routes and swing patterns, which is an important part of our team's continued growth. We were also decisive and committed to our serving zones, keeping pressure on the Lynx from the service line with nine aces."
