DANVILLE, KENTUCKY - Southwestern Men's Soccer continues to dominate the SAA, beating Centre College utilizing their depth, 2-0. The Pirates return from another successful road trip at 12-0-3 overall and 4-0 in conference. Sophomore

13 different Pirates have found the back of the net this season. Southwestern's defense posted a tenth shutout, tying the team all-time record going down as one of the best back lines in program history.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- Southwestern took their longest trip of the season flying into Louisville and commuting to Danville for the Saturday match.
- Junior Landon Guenther was active on the offensive early with two shots in the first ten minutes.
- Freshman Grey Richards has been in excellent form at the right time manufacturing a shot on goal in the 32nd minute.
- Both teams headed into half scoreless as the Pirates looked to regroup.
- Sophomore Quinn MacLeod brings the energy match in match out. The sophomore scored the first goal of the match in the 60 minute for his fourth of the season.
- Sophomore Danny Wasserman finished the dagger in the the 79th minute which resulted in a red card penalty kick goal. MacLeod did the heavy lifting drawing the penalty.
- The match got chippy in the final minutes as three players received yellow cards, but the Pirares prevailed with the victory and no red cards.
MATCH NOTES
- Southwestern entered the week at 15th nationally, posting a win and a tie.
- The shutout resulted in senior Scott Johnson's ninth of the season, two shy of the individual goalkeeper record.
- Southwestern sits on top of the conference standings alongside Trinity University at 4-0. The next teams behind them are 2-2 as all squads have three SAA matches left.
