GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern women's basketball team had a conference match-up against University of St. Thomas on Saturday, January 11th. Both teams were looking for their first conference win of the season. The Pirates fought hard but in the end, it was the Celts that walked away with the win, 45-61 final from Georgetown. Pirates moved to 0-4 in SCAC Conference play.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS: 

• Sophomore guard, Adrianna McCoy put up a team high of sixteen points

• Starting forward Trinity Benitez led the Pirates in rebounds with a total of seven, while also picking up six points

• Taylor Boddie was putting in defensive work forcing turnovers and collecting three steals of her own

GAME NOTES:

• Pirates Emma Flores and Ellie Ward each had five points on the night

• The Pirates struggled with shooting, finishing at just 36% from the field and going 5/16 from three
