GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern University Volleyball team opened up the year at the Robertson Center on Thursday night, battling the University of Texas - Dallas Comets to kick off the SU Invitational. After a 3-0 start on the road, the Pirates showed no nerves at home as they were able to defeat the Comet three sets to zero and advance to 4-0 on the season.
"Getting a complete team win in the home opener is a good sign for this team as they grow together. Seeing our pin hitters stay aggressive and terminate the ball was important in crunch time a couple sets tonight, overall I think we did a nice job from the service line keeping the pressure on the Comets throughout the match," recaps Head Coach
Don Flora.

	- Emily Marks and Carly Berkman led the Pirates squad in kills on the night with twelve a piece.
