GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern University Women's Basketball team face Howard Payne University for the second time this season in their last contest before conference play begins. The Pirates defeated the Yellow Jackets 77-35 the last time out, but were un able to repeat that performance, losing to HPU 49-68 in Brownwood, Texas. 

HIGHLIGHTS

• First-year guard Emma Flores went for thirteen points and five rebounds against the Yellow Jackets. 
• Lauren Stevens and Alexa Romero each score eight, combining for sixteen points. Stevens added four rebounds in seventeen minutes on the court. 
• Adrianna McCoy led the team in rebounds on the night with seven, also going for five points and two assists to her teammates. 

NOTES

• Southwestern totaled 29% from the field against the Yellow Jackets, while Howard Payne made 41% of all field goal attempts. 
• The Pirates were 73% from the free throw line and stand at .705 as a team through nine games. 
• Twenty-four of the Pirates forty-nine points came from the bench, with a total of nine different scorers throughout the game.
