Box Score GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Basketball dropped to 3-7 on the season following their loss to the Texas Lutheran University Bulldogs on Thursday Night. The Bulldogs, who are 7-3 on the season, hung up thirty points in the first quarter against the Pirates on their way to a 96-58 victory.
HIGHLIGHTS
- First-year guard Alexa Romero led the Pirates in scoring with twelve on the night.
- Adrianna McCoy posted an eleven point game as well as racking up five steals and five assists.
- Ellie Ward and Emma Flores combined for sixteen points (eight apiece). Ward also grabbed four rebounds, stole three balls.
NOTES
- The Pirates were just 11-20 from the free throw line and 26% from beyond the three point arc.
- TLU limited the Pirates on defense to under 13 points in three quarters of play, while putting up twenty or more in three quarters.
- Southwestern fouled 22 times against the Bulldogs, leading to 19 free throws made out of 26 (73%).
