GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern University men's basketball team spent their Thanksgiving break in Claremont, California competing in the David Wells Classic. The Pirates fell respectively to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer, who are both currently receiving votes for top 25. Game 1 the Pirates faced CMS Stags where the final score was 46-75 and game 2 was against PP Sagehens and the final score was 55-64.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS

• Gio Gutierrez & Brock Luechtefeld led the Pirates with eight points each

• Freshman Jared Robins picked up five rebounds, while also collecting six points and a steal on the night

• Aedan Lewis helped offensively by scoring seven points of his own

GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS

• Two Pirates ended the night in double digits with points those being Brock Luechtefeld with fifteen points & Sebastian Loder who had twelve points

• Jared Robins collected a career high of six rebounds

• Pirates went 21-56 from the field
