GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern University women's basketball team traveled to Forest Grove, Oregon to compete in the Ken Schumann Classic over the weekend. In their first match up on Friday night, the Pirates fell to Linfield University 57-75. In the second game on Saturday night, Southwestern picked up their first win of the season defeating Pacific University 61-49. 

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS

• Pirates were led offensively by sophomore forward Lauren Stevens who had a career high of twenty-four points, and five rebounds

• Sophomore guard Adrianna McCoy scored 13 points on the night - her career high as a Pirate

• Southwestern went 20-53 from the field and were 15-22 from the free throw line

GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS

• Trinity Benitez racked up a career high of twenty points against the Boxers while also picking up eight rebounds, two steals, and a block 

• Freshman Emma Flores collected seventeen points of her own going 3-5 from the three point line

• Three different Pirates had six or more points, including Alexa Romero (6 points), Adrianna McCoy (7 points), and Ellie Ward (8 points)
