GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern Women's Basketball team picked up their second win of the season and first win at home in the Corbin J. Robertson Center. The Pirates took down the LeTourneau University Yellow Jackets on Wednesday afternoon with a score of 61-53 heading into Thanksgiving weekend. Southwestern hung up twenty four points in the second quarter and road out a 34-23 halftime lead to the final buzzer.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Adrianna McCoy scored a game-high eighteen points, going 6/13 from the field with six out of eight free throws made.
• Trinity Benitez racked up a double-double through fifteen rebounds and eleven points, making it her third game with double digit points on the season.
• Ellie Ward was the third Pirate in the double digit for the night, going 4/7 from the field as well as collecting eight rebounds. 

NOTES

• Southwestern was 21-54 from the field, 6/17 from three and were 65% from the free throw line, out shooting the Yellow Jackets in the first two categories.
• The Pirates were nine better than the Yellow Jackets in the rebound margin, 37-28 with eleven offensive rebounds. 
• Southwestern's twenty four point second quarter is the most scored for the Pirates in the season thus far.
