GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Soccer played their conference opener on Friday, October 4th against Austin College up in Sherman, Texas where the Pirates shut out the Roos 2-0. 

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

• Senior Sydney Boswell found the back of the net first for the Pirates in the 13th minute, from an assist by Senior Samantha Hazen

• Meredith Lannan, senior solidified the win for the Pirates by scoring in the 83rd minute off of an assist from freshman Lindsey Gomez

• Goalkeeper Kalista Esquivel-Serna had a total of 5 saves to keep the Roos scoreless on the night

GAME NOTES

• Pirates had a team total of eight shots on goal, Yamila Lara led with two

• The Pirates & the Roos were neck and neck in fouls, and corner kicks within the game
