Women's Soccer Secures 4-1 Win Over Dallas

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Soccer played on Sunday, October 6th against University of Dallas in Georgetown, Texas. The Pirates undefeated at home, needing to defend their turf and they did just that, beating the Crusaders 4-1. Also advancing them to 2-0 in conference play.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

  • Senior Samantha Hazen scored first for the Pirates in the 68th minute, her first goal of the season

  • Three Pirates found the back of the net within the last fifteen minutes of the game. Those Pirates being Lindsey Gomez (75th minute), Laren Gradt (76th minute), and Samantha Hazen (77th minute)

GAME NOTES

  • Pirates defense played a key role in this game holding the Crusaders to only four shots on goal

  • Two Pirates made assists during the game, Laren Gradt (68th minute & 75th minute), and Jenny Pham (77th minute)

  • Lindsey Gomez scored her first goal of her collegiate career
