GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern Volleyball traveled to San Antonio, Texas for a pair of games on Friday, first taking on Randolph-Macon College at 12:30 PM followed by conference opponent Trinity in the 6:00 PM slot. Southwestern defeated the Yellow Jackets of Randolph-Macon 3-1, dropping the first set 25-16 then rebounding to win three sets in a row. In the SCAC match up, the Tigers took full control in the opening set, defeating the Pirates 25-12. Trinity went on to win the game 3-0 followed by 25-16 and 25-22 set victories.
GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- Carly Berkman led the two teams in kills for the match with fourteen, hitting .154 in four sets.
- Geneva Nedrow went for her season high thirty-three digs against the Yellow Jackets along with four assists and three aces.
- Annika Flora filled up her stat line with twenty-three assists, four kills, seventeen digs and three block assists.
NOTES
- Southwestern served ten aces against Randolph-Macon and went for 70 total points.
- The Yellow Jackets blocked twelve Pirate attempts compared to six from Southwestern.
- The Pirate hit .07 in the first set and rebounded to hit .178 for the match.
GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
- Madison Ingram tallied six kills and hit .286 against the Tigers on fourteen attempts.
- Claire Romo assisted Pirate hitters on thirteen attempts and served two aces.
- Lily McWhorter collected four block assists along with five kills on fifteen attempts.
