GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Soccer played a match on Tuesday, October 15th against Texas Lutheran University in Georgetown, Texas. This match between the Pirates and the Bulldogs was an aggressive, hard fought, and exciting battle to watch. Both teams were 3-1 in conference play heading into the start of this competition, the Pirates shut out the Bulldogs with a final score of 1-0, advancing them to 4-1 in conference play and staying undefeated at home for the season. 

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

• Senior Madison Koehn was the lone goal scorer of the night, scoring within the first minute of the game which was her first goal of the season!

• Goalkeeper Erin York played a key role in the game, having a total of 6 saves on the night. 

• Samantha Hazen made the assist to Koehn in minute one of the game

GAME NOTES

• Bulldog defense held the Pirates to only two shots on goal for the night

• Three yellow cards were given throughout the game, one of those belonging to Samantha Hazen (72nd minute)

• Pirates were given a total of 10 free kicks from fouls, and only gave up three of their own
