Mary Cardone is a 2020 graduate of Southwestern University and joined the women's soccer coaching staff in the fall of 2024. Cardone was a standout goalkeeper in her time with the Pirates women's soccer program. A four year starter, Cardone helped the Pirates achieve their first ever conference championship and NCAA Appeareance in 2019. Her list of accolades include three First Team All-SCAC selections, two SCAC Elite 19 awards, two United Soccer Coaches All-West Region teams and a two time winner of the Southwestern Athletics Dr. Carla Lowry Female Athlete of the Year as a dual sport athlete in both soccer and tennis. Throughout her four years, Cardone sported a 0.86 goals allowed average with twenty six shutouts and 306 total saves in sixty six games played. Â
