2015

Novander made 29 appearances on the mound for the Pirates while posting a .429 ERA and 6-9 record. In 94.2 innings of work Novander allowed 78 runs, 58 earned, on 78 hits while walking 37 and striking out 46. For her hard work in the classroom Novander was named a member SCAC Spring Academic Honor Roll member. 

2014

Novander was a member of the Pirate softball team and was on the dean's list at Southwestern. 

High School

Alyssa is a 2013 graduate of New Braunfels HS. During her high school career, Alyssa earned athletic and academic honors. In 2010 she was named Defensive Player of the Year. In 2011, 2012, and 2013 she earned Academic All-District. During her junior year she was All-District Honorable Mention. That same year and in 2013 she was named Second Team All-County. Also in 2013 she was named Second Team All-District. Alyssa was also a member of the National Honor Society in 2012 and 2013.

Personal

Alyssa is the daughter of Michael and Francie Novander and is the sister of Tyler Novander. She is majoring in communications with a minor in exercise and sports science at Southwestern and is a member of Delta Delta Delta and Alpha Lambda Delta.
