Summary

Biography

Zachary Pope joined the Pirates as the Assistant Men's SoccerCoach in the fall of 2010. Pope is no stranger to the Austin area,he attended Round Rock Stony Point High School where he was aMcDonald’s All-American and Nike All-Star. After high school,Pope continued on to play at Duke University where he was aFreshman All-American and NCAA Final Four participant. Followinghis graduation in 2007, Pope was drafted to play Major LeagueSoccer in 2008 by the Chicago Fire. He also appeared with FCDallas. In 2009, he returned to the Austin area where he continuesto play with the Austin Aztex Futbol Club.

Pope has been coaching with the Lonestar Soccer Club since 2008where he works with girls and boys teams ranging from ages 8-18. Hehas also been working with Cen-Tex Soccer Training where he helpsto enhance player performance.
