Christine Chen joined the Southwestern University men's and women's golf programs as an assistant coach in fall 2026. Chen comes to Southwestern after spending two seasons as an assistant coach for the University of Denver women's golf program, where she helped lead the Pioneers to the 2024 Summit League Championship.
Chen played five seasons at the University of Oregon from 2019-24. She helped the Ducks reach the NCAA Championship Final Four in 2024 and was a two-time All-Pac-12 honorable mention selection. In 2022, Chen helped Oregon win the Pac-12 Championship and NCAA Albuquerque Regional before finishing as the NCAA Championship runner-up.
The Hsinchu, Taiwan, native finished her Oregon career with 356 birdies, second-most in program history, and was the Ducks' top individual finisher at the 2024 NCAA Championships, tying for 20th at 3-over par.
Chen earned a bachelor's degree from Oregon in 2024 and a master's degree in sports and performance psychology from Denver in 2026.
