Hicks 16' returns to the program as the Quarterbacks Coach after starting under center as a player for the Pirates and winning an SCAC title. Hicks brings an abundance of knowledge to the QB room with six years of high school coaching experience. 

Coach Hicks helped the Pirate offense improve in 2025, throwing for 50 more yards per game than the 2024 squad. Hicks helped guide junior Quarterback Jacob Smith into an All-SAA honoree. 

His journey began as Offensive Coordinator at St. Dominic Savio HS (TAPPS) from 2018-2020. The former Pirate moved into QB coach roles at Cypress Ridge High School from 2021-23, then Katy Paetow High School from 2023-2025. 

Hicks also brings professional playing experience perspective into the program after playing four years of Arena Football in the IFL & NAL. Bryan shattered records on the professional level, breaking the single game record for passing TD's (9). 

His career at Southwestern goes down as one of the most influential Pirates, leading the program in attempts (825), completions (473), yards (5,515), and TD's (40). Hicks also heavily contributed to the historic 2016 season who won the SCAC. Hicks owns a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Southwestern University.Â
