KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN - Southwestern University Men's Lacrosse takes down Kalamazoo College with ease as play was suspended with five minutes left in the fourth quarter with the Pirates leading 11-4. Southwestern moves to 4-1 on the season with their only loss coming in overtime.

Matthew Houtz. Southwestern took advantage of man-up opportunities scoring six on the night as freshman
Austin Egler gave the Pirates a four-goal lead.

Keaten Cox scored a pivotal goal before halftime, making it 6-2. Houtz scored a hat-trick before the downpour rain started, causing an hour delay. Senior

Matthew Swandal, and Cox scored after the delay to make it 11-4. The game was called official as another downpour rolled in with five minutes left in the fourth quarter, clinching a Pirates win.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The face off success rate for the Pirates was the story of the night as junior Trey Pena finished 16 for 18.
- The junior continues to give the Pirates a major advantage, going 72-106 on the year. Pena also grabbed 11 grounds for a season-high with 38 on the year.
- Houtz and Cox were an unstoppable duo as both posted three goals and two assists each.
- Sophomore Dante Avicolli saved 64% of shots faced on the night with seven saves and only four goals allowed.
