GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern Baseball team was back at Rockwell Family Field in Georgetown, Texas as they hosted Austin College on Friday, April 11th and Saturday, April 12th. The Pirates were 8-12 in SCAC conference play before the three game series. After a dominating 11-3 victory in game one, the Pirates were unable to build on the momentum, dropping game two 9-12, and game three 8-12.
GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTSĀ

Two Pirates recorded three RBIs each, those two being Tres Organ and Christian Melillo.

Christian Melillo finished the game with two runs scored, reaching base in two of his four plate appearances.

Freshman Chase McGarr pitched eight innings for the second time in his last two starts while recording a career high seven strikeouts.Ā
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTSĀ

Catcher James Vaquero went three for four on the day recording four of the Pirates eight RBIs.

Tres Organ knocked in two runs with a single in the bottom of the first inning and a sacrifice bunt in the seventh inning.

Two Pirates scored two runs, those two being Connor Duffey and James Vaquero.
GAME 3 HIGHLIGHTSĀ Ā

James Vaquero, Senior, led the Pirates with four RBIs on three hits in the contest.

First baseman Wyatt Kuhlow led the Pirates in runs scored with three runs in the final game of the series.

Freshman Jordan Coronado recorded two hits in the second game of the doubleheader, including a double in the bottom of the eighth inning.
