GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern University women's basketball team turned in a dominant, wire-to-wire performance Wednesday night, defeating the University of Dallas 70–50 on December 18th inside the Robertson Center. With the win, Southwestern improves to 8–2 overall and closes out its home slate for the 2025 calendar year. The Pirates will wrap up the year with one final nonconference contest before the holiday break.
The Pirates wasted no time asserting control, opening the game with a 24–8 first quarter behind efficient shooting and aggressive defense. Southwestern followed with an 18–12 second quarter to carry a 42–20 lead into halftime. Dallas attempted to rally in the third, outscoring the Pirates 23–20, but Southwestern clamped down defensively in the final frame, limiting the Crusaders to just seven points to secure the 20-point victory.
